Upon a time when I was merely a child
I snuck out of a hotel room in Vegas
.
I remember being distraught
Tangled in a memory
Replaying and replaying
Due to this quiet room
Of my sleeping familiar persons
.
I walked
I would know my way back
I don’t remember anything that night
Except the words
Of a seemingly insane man
Ragged in his clothes
And sooted in his skin
.
I saw it
Standing
With pleasure of others guilt
Feeding and fed
From flaws of paths
Taken by fault
Cut and cheated
Punishing those
Who mock the ones
Amongst the wind
.
Just before he finishes his sentence
I am blown
Seemingly teleported
The last syllables of his tongue
Echo and distort
Around me is seen
In only horizontal blurring streaks
Lights and hues of different frequencies
Sound heard only in rewinded decibels
And that dirtied beard
.
Jeez
.
I see it every now and then
